Any personal data collected or processed is treated securely and used in accordance with LABC's Privacy Policy ("policy") as detailed below. By giving LABC ("we" or "us") the personal data you are consenting to its collection and use in line with this policy. This policy describes how District Surveyors Association Limited, trading as LABC, uses your personal data which we may collect via the Public and/or Members' areas ("Public Site" and "Members' Site") of the website (current homepage address: www.labc.uk.com). This policy should be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions.
Cookies
We only use cookies for system administration and to give us information on the number of visitors to different parts of our website. We do not use them to identify you.

Forums
You may provide us with further personal data if this is necessary for us to deal with any questions you send us. You may also choose to include personal data in a message that you post in a forum. This personal data will only be held by us for as long as is necessary to respond to your query or for the period during which your message is posted on the website.
Please note that although the forums can only be accessed by other LABC members and LABC staff, we advise that you restrict the amount of personal data you include in the messages that you post as the website is accessed via the Internet and therefore we cannot guarantee that is a totally secure environment.
Email Updates
We will not send you email updates unless you specifically request them via the 'areas of interest' sections of the website registration forms. If you do request email updates we will send them to the email address that you supplied upon registration (or as updated by you). Security and Transfer of Data

By the nature of the Internet, a global environment, the personal data you supply through this website may be processed electronically by other service suppliers to LABC and their servers. The LABC membership list, which includes only the job title and building control department address, may also be sold to selected third parties felt to be offering useful information for the pursuance of building control activities. They may also contact the LABC membership via emails, but under the condition that these emails are sent from the LABC Head Office at 137 Lupus Street, London SW1V 3HE and not by the third party. Sharing data with third parties is not routine and is overseen by KABC members via the Commercial Working Group.
Except as set out above, we shall not disclose your personal information unless obliged to, or allowed to do so by law, or where we need to in order to run our business (e.g. where other people process data for us). In such circumstances, we ask those people to agree to confidentiality and/or non-disclosure of the information.
