This free scheme offers large and small companies the opportunity to 'partner' with the local authority building control department of their choice no matter where the building works are taking place.

The scheme will benefit RSLs, housing associations, architects and contractors who provide affordable homes or social housing. LABC has identified over 150 specialist local authority teams that are able to provide dedicated account management and in-depth technical expertise, covering key areas such as the Code for Sustainable Homes and acoustic design. Other benefits to those in the new homes industry include: a single point of contact; consistent Building Regulations advice; Development Team Approach so that issues are resolved with other experts in the design phase; and streamlined administration all the way through to the completion certificate.

Participating organisations will not only receive excellent building control advice; they will also have the option of using the Social Housing Warranty from LABC New Home Warranty. This provides housing associations and RSLs with up to 12 years cover on residential developments and conversion projects.

There are currently 3,000 partnerships in England and Wales. Participating companies are able to use the LABC Partner logo in communications to their customers and on marketing material.
