The 2009 LABC National Building Excellence Awards took place on Tuesday, 20th October at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London. Awards were given in eleven categories that recognised the excellent building quality of projects in diverse sectors including volume housing developments, education, healthcare, commercial, sports and leisure. There was also a 12th Supreme Award given, which was chosen as the best out of all the winners.
The 2009 LABC President’s Reception was held at the historic Trinity House in London on 16th September. The evening was hosted by Jeremy Hall, outgoing LABC President and Building Control Group Manager at Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council. Guests included 110 representatives from the building industry’s trade organisations, professional institutions and representative bodies.
The nomination forms are in. The short listing is done. And the finalists have been announced. The building industry is getting ready for the 2009 LABC National Building Excellence Awards.
The successful LABC Partner Authority Scheme is being re-launched for Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) and affordable homes specialists.
